HB 1107, which requires rural electric co-ops and municipal utilities to provide the same energy efficiency programs that I get from Xcel, made it out of the Colorado House of Representatives and is heading to the Senate!

Unfortunately, the folks that run these co-ops and municipal utilities are fighting this bill tooth-and-nail. 

Email Dave Lock – the Executive Director of the Colorado Association of Municipal Utilities, and Ray Clifton – the Executive Director of Colorado Rural Electric Association, and ask them to drop their opposition to HB 1107.
